The resources shown here cover a range of learning and teaching tools that I have found of value.  With the internet we have an abundance of resources for learning without ever having to leave our homes.  I encourage you to carefully assess which information you take in that contributes to your personal well-being, your spiritual growth, and your increased kindness for others. 

Association for Mindfulness in Education: www.mindfuleducation.org.  This organization is establishing a foundation for training and research in mindful teaching and learning.

Center for Mindfulness and Stress Reduction Clinicwww.umassmed.edu/cfm.  The clinic started by Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D.,  in 1979 at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, out of which came the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program which is now taught internationally.  I trained with Dr. Kabat-Zinn in 1994 and taught MSBR at Kaiser for 14 years.

Committed Parent: www.committedparent.wordpress.com. A weekly article on leading-edge brain function and neuroscience.  It is written by my friend, Dr. Mark Brady, a transpersonal psychologist.  Topics related to brain function and early development provide insight into our habit patterns and making changes.

Dharma Seed audio library: www.dharmaseed.org.  An extensive on-line audio library and catalog of teachings of Buddhist teachers.  MP3 files may be downloaded.  Donations accepted.

Fit Soul-Fit Body: www.fitsoul-fitbody.com. Book and workshop by Brant Secunda and Mark Allen (yes, he’s my son).  Blending spiritual practices and understanding that can influence your health and fitness in practical ways.

Inquiring Mind: www.inquiringmind.com. Seminannual Journal of the Vipassana Community.  Articles on Buddhism by international teachers.  Listing of mindfulness sitting groups around the world.

Mindfulness Programs: www.mindfulnessprograms.com.  MBSR teacher and trainer, Dr. Bob Stahl, has extensive cds on mindfulness meditations.  He is certified to train people to teach the MBSR program. 

Sounds True: www.soundstrue.com. Audio/visual catalog of teachings for personal evolution from all traditions.

Still Quiet Place: www.stillquietplace.com. Amy Saltzman, M.D., is a mindfulness teacher who has a wonderful way of introducing mindfulness to young children. 

Jill Bolte Taylor: www.drjilltaylor.com.  Brain scientist and author of My Stroke of Insight.  Her unique story of what happened when the left hemisphere of her brain was blocked from a stroke. 

Tricycle Magazine: www.tricycle.com. You can subscribe to this free Buddhist publication that puts out Daily Dharma online as well as other internet teachings.
