Welcome. My name is Sharon Allen. 
I am your host for this site, its creator and explorer of how we can Be Mindful Now. Here is a bit about my background.
My journey has taken many turns in my quest to know and to understand the deeper meanings in life. Each decade and turn in the road broadened my ability to see and to stand with the reality that is before me. As anyone who has lived past adolescence knows, life is a collage of deep heartache and unimagineable beauty. How to make sense out of it? How do we bring creativity to and nurture the good parts and not get swept off the cliff by the devastating parts?
Over 25 years ago, I had my first formal introduction to Vipassana meditation. Learning that form of Buddhist meditation created a foundation for my life’s work. Studying with wise and skillful Buddhist teachers has opened vistas within me I could not have imagined.
Teaching Mindfulness Meditation as a spiritual discipline, or as a stress-reduction skill for those who want that aspect, is what I dedicate my life to.
